CPI-HR SERVICES ANNOUNCEMENT

Ohio Mandatory Paid Sick Leave:

In a surprise development today, Ohioans for Healthy Families, the coalition of over 200 organizations advocating mandatory paid sick leave in Ohio, announced that it would withdraw the Ohio Healthy Families Act (OHFA) from the November general election ballot.

For now the issue of mandatory sick days in Ohio has been shelved. The issue will likely be addressed at the Federal level.

 

National Payroll Week:

The week of September 1 through the 5th is designated as National Payroll Week.

CPI-HR would like to take this opportunity to recognize all our clients who devote their time to ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all your employees’ paychecks.  Too often, this can be a thankless job where you only hear about the mistakes.

So CPI-HR wants to extend a “THANK YOU” to all our clients who have dedicated their careers to ensuring everyone is paid on time and accurately each pay period.

 

Tip of the Month:  (EE Timesheet Lock Down)

Are your employees being locked out of their timesheets?

Processing payroll using the Payroll Wizard will automatically create auto pays.  If the timesheets have not been processed yet, this will cause them to “Lock Down” and your employees will be unable to enter or finalize hours.  To prevent this, it’s best not to enter through the Payroll Wizard until you are ready to process payroll.  To make any changes between payrolls its best to click on “Time Entry” then “Payroll Entry”.  If this happens all you need to do is delete the auto pays.  Contact your CSR with any questions.

Congrats!  Please join us in welcoming Pat Davies to our CPI-HR team as our newest receptionist/administrator.  She comes to us with extensive administrative experience, as well as a background in human resources, payroll, and school finance with the Twinsburg City School District.  We wish Miesha the best of luck in becoming a hygienist!
