At the heart of CPI is our talented, knowledgeable executive team. With over 70 years of combined industry experience, CPI’s executive team knows what it takes to develop effective human resource solutions that not only bring you results, but also exceed your expectations and excite your employees

James D. Hopkins, President

A native of Cleveland, Jim graduated from University School and received a BSBA in Finance from John Carroll University in 1985. Immediately after college Jim entered the insurance business with Guardian Life as an account representative specializing in individual and small business financial and estate planning. After 3 years with Guardian Life, Jim became President of TFG Inc. and over nine years built this company from a start up to one with over 200 clients. Jim consolidated his business in 1998 to form Corporate Plans, Inc., one of the largest employee benefit firms in Ohio. Jim has been instrumental in evolving Corporate Plans Inc. into CPI a more comprehensive organization offering more human resource services. As President, Jim is responsible for overseeing a significant volume of business. He also sits on various boards, committees and focus groups with insurance companies.
