Mission History Our Technology Our People

CPI was established as Corporate Plans, Inc. and has been providing insurance, employee benefit and human resource consulting for over 30 years. The Company began in 1972 as Kamer & Company, an employee benefits firm, and today has grown to be one of the largest firms offering these services in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Over the years, CPI has seen many changes affecting HR professionals. The emergence of managed care transformed the healthcare industry and the emergence of affordable technologies has brought tremendous HR efficiency. In response to our clients' evolving needs and the changing marketplace, CPI expanded to include Payroll, Third Party Administration, Section 125 Flexible Benefits Administration, COBRA Administration, complete Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Financial and Investment Planning. We've also developed a proprietary claims adjudication system.

In 1998, The O'Leary Corporation's James Hopkins, joined Kamer & Company to form Corporate Plans, Inc. Relying on innovative ideas and staying true to our commitment to our clients, CPI became one of the only companies offering flexible split funding plans to our clients in 2000.

Today, CPI continues to be innovative and responsive to our clients, with offices in Cleveland as well as Columbus and Pittsburgh. With our proven history of helping organizations and our unparalleled range of capabilities to coordinate benefits and human resource technology, we are in a position to enhance people and profitability for our clients.
